Current polish pick: Nicole by OPI Carrie Underwood Collection in Goodbye Shoes

Summer has flown by, who knew three months could go so fast. And who also knew that over those three months all I seem to have my nails for nail polish was corals and pinks? Well when I realized that I decided to go with a different color for this week. And it also didn't help that I just got back from Ulta and got two of the Carrie Underwood nail polishes from Nicole by OPI. And let me just say so far I love it!

One of the colors that I chose was Goodbye Shoes which is a very pretty mauve teal green. 

  

I love this color, yes it would be perfect for fall but lets face it and something you will learn with me is that I don't believe in following nail polish trends in when you can and cannot wear bright or dark colors. Wear them when YOU want. 

The brush is like the OPI brushes in of that it is thick but I like that because it makes apply it so much easier. It also applies like a dream, you can get away with only one coat and it would look great but I like the two coats because it makes the color much more bright and shinny.

And so far it has great staying power, after I applied it I started to type this post but then went and made cookies, went shopping and made dinner and it did not chip at all or smudge or anything, and to me that is huge since I almost always smudge or chip my nail polish with in 5 hours.

Welcome to Holly's Polish Pics (yes I know pics should be spelled differently but come on this is a blog).

If you cannot already tell this blog with be all about nail polish. From my favorites to ones that I just don't like. Other than just doing updated nail polish for the week or whatever I will also be doing posts from how I store my nail things, how I do my nails, and maybe even some totally random posts.

You are probably wondering also how often will I be posting since I don't paint my nails on the same day each week (kind of when they start chipping and need it) I will post updated nail polish when it happens but it will be at least one post a week for the posts that are of different things not just the update current nail polish will hopefully be one a week or one every-other week. I do work at least 35 hours a week so finding time between work and things at home will mean that some weeks may only have one short post.

So I am going to keep this post short and simple because I already have my first post going up very soon (hopefully tonight or tomorrow afternoon).
